This can happen for several reasons. Here’s how to fix the problem.

1. Unstable internet

If your internet connection is unstable, try the following steps.

  1. Run a speed test to see if this is the cause.
  2. Make sure all internet cables are connected properly.
  3. Turn off the modem/router for initialization, wait at least 5 seconds, and then turn it on again.
  4. Search the servers again by clicking the connection bar in the lower right corner and selecting Rescan Servers.

2. Firewall and antivirus software

To fix this, do the following:

  • Add MT4 or MT5 to your firewall and antivirus software exceptions list.
  • Turn off the firewall and log in again.

You can also use the IP address/DNS when logging into the terminal.
