The main reason for this issue is an attempt to trade above the trading volume limit set by the broker either directly or through system trading (EA).

Here are some of the cases where the problem can occur.

  1. Exness restricts the maximum trading volume to be exceeded when opening a certain commodity trading, and the maximum trading volume depends on the account type and when the trading is opened. See this article for full information on this limitation. If you trade a volume that exceeds this limit, you will get an ‘Invalid Trading Volume’ error.
  2. Systems Trading (EA) may have attempted to trade volumes that exceed the limits set for a particular product or account type. Even in this case, the invalid Trading Volume’ error will occur.
  3. If you have placed your own limit order, your trading volume may not meet the restrictions that apply at the time of execution. For example, if you want to trade 100 lots of a certain commodity and you reach the expected price at night, but the allowable volume per trade is 20 lots.

To avoid this error, open trading within the limits set by Exness and make sure your System Trading (EA) settings do not exceed the limits.

You can check the limit in the detailed contract details for each product in the terminal program.
