FXCM now offers Stock Baskets that allow you to speculate on the performance of a certain sector without having to open exposure on each stock individually.

Trading on a basket of stocks is simple, if you think that the performance of a sector will improve, you will go long (Buy), if you think that a sector will weaken you will go short (Sell).

What is an FXCM Basket of Shares?

FXCM’s Share Baskets contain some individual stocks relating to a specific sector.

At the time of the launch of the baskets, each share was given a value in terms of the dollar.

The baskets from that point forward will measure the collective performance of each of the related components.

For example, FAANG’s original price was $ 2,000, and Netflix represented $ 400 of that $ 2,000.
If today the same amount of Netflix shares that were worth $ 400 were worth $ 415, the contribution of those shares to FXCM’s FAANG price will be 415.

The contribution of each of the shares will form the current price of the FXCM FAANG Index.

You can enable the tools available on your account today by entering either STOCK BASKETS, FAANG, CANNABIS, ESPORTS, BIOTECH, CHN.TECH, CHN.ECOMM, TRAVEL, US AUTO, US BANKS, US E-COMMERCE, or WFH in the search field of the Exchange window of the Trading Station.
Forex Baskets

  • There are no additional entry or exit costs, everything is included in the spread.
  • Positions held after 5:00 PM EST will be subject to the overnight funding charge (“Rollover”).
  • Adjustments for dividends and withholdings will be applied to positions held after the ex-dividend date of each individual component.
  • Currently the margins are approximately 15% for CANNABIS, 10% for all other baskets and are updated daily.
  • Products are only available when the underlying stock exchanges are open.
